The proposed closure of Wood Road GP Surgery in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton has been taken to the top of the NHS by Stuart Anderson, Wolverhampton South West’s Conservative parliamentary candidate, who has asked Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health to look into the proposed closure of the surgery.
Commenting, Stuart said:
“With a significant elderly population in the Tettenhall area it is vital that we retain the services of this surgery, and that it continues to provide the quality healthcare local residents rightly deserve.
“By writing to the Health Secretary, I’ve made him aware of the concerns of local residents and councillors about the impact on the community, should the proposed closure go ahead. I have particularly asked if there is any assistance he or his officials can provide in helping to keep this much needed surgery open.
