Stuart Anderson MP Embarks on Summer Tour of South Shropshire
Stuart Anderson MP is hitting the road this summer for a week-long tour of South Shropshire between Monday 27th July and Friday 31st July 2026 to meet local residents and hear their concerns and aspirations.
Stuart Anderson MP said:
"As the Member of Parliament for South Shropshire, I will always work hard to deliver for fellow residents throughout the year. I will listen to local concerns, support local communities, and fight for the funding, support, and services we deserve. As one of the largest and most rural constituencies in the country, it is vital that I get out and about in every corner of South Shropshire to achieve this. My Summer Tour is an ideal opportunity to meet fellow residents, hear their views and concerns, and talk directly about the issues affecting our communities. Over the week, I will be visiting five different towns and villages including Ditton Priors, Broseley, Claverley, Lydbury North, and Rushbury. This builds on my year-round constituency work, which includes regular surgeries and other local engagements. I hope to meet and speak with as many residents as possible."
From Monday 27th July to Friday 31st July, Stuart will be visiting towns and villages across South Shropshire as part of his Summer Tour. Stuart has said it is a vital opportunity to meet residents face-to-face, hear local views, and discuss the issues that matter the most in their communities. This is part of Stuart's commitment to listen to local concerns, support local communities, and deliver the local services that residents deserve.
As one of the largest and most rural constituencies in England, South Shropshire covers 1,027 square miles. Stuart has said it is vital to take his office out to every part of South Shropshire to ensure an active and consistent presence in every neighbourhood. As part of the tour, Stuart will be visiting five towns and villages over the course of the week. This includes Ditton Priors, Broseley, Claverley, Lydbury North, and Rushbury.
Stuart has pledged to use the tour to listen, support, and deliver on local priorities. Stuart hopes to speak with as many residents about issues including public services, rural infrastructure, support for small businesses, and backing the farming community. Stuart's Summer Tour builds on his year-round constituency work, which includes regular surgeries, visits to businesses and community groups, and other local engagements.
Since his election two years ago, Stuart has held many surgery appointments, vital opportunities to discuss personal concerns and issues. He has also launched a ‘Meet Your MP’ series of coffee mornings, where residents can share their views on issues of local and national significance. Stuart has also visited many businesses and community organisations including schools, charities, and places of worship.
