Stuart Anderson MP has invited local people to attend his community jobs fair. The event will be the first of its kind locally as our city’s recovery from COVID-19 gets underway. Residents of all ages are being invited to the event, which Stuart has said will be a unique opportunity to find out about the range of opportunities available.
Stuart’s jobs fair takes place on Friday, the 5th of November between 10 am and 14 pm at Wolverhampton Racecourse. There will be more than forty individual exhibitors in attendance. The Racecourse has been chosen due to its location in the heart of the community and its capacity to cater for the high level of attendance expected.
A range of sectors will be represented at the event and delegates will have the opportunity to speak one-to-one with the businesses in attendance. A full list is included below. Exhibitors will also be advertising vacancies and be on hand to offer practical advice to those wishing to take the next step in their career or learn about opportunities in new fields. The 2022 Commonwealth Games team intend to host a seminar at midday on opportunities as part of the Games.
The community jobs fair is just one part of his wider plan to promote economic opportunities for his constituents. The Government’s recently extended Plan for Jobs has already protected thousands of jobs across the constituency. The Chancellor has laid the foundations for our transition to a high-wage and high-skills economy, with an extra £4.7 billion for schools and £3.8 billion in skills as well as £560 million for the Youth Investment Fund and National Citizenship Service. There was £400 million for the Midlands Engine Investment Fund and £20 million for the new, integrated Wolverhampton City Learning Quarter from the Levelling Up Fund.

Stuart Anderson MP said: “It has never been so important to host an event like this. As we move beyond the pandemic, our priority is getting people back into work and helping businesses to thrive. My community jobs fair is the first event of its kind in our area, and it will be a unique opportunity for local people to find out about the range of opportunities available right on our doorstep. I look forward to welcoming anyone to the Racecourse.”
