We have now reached our milestone of more than £2.3 billion secured in funding for the city since 2019. In the last year, funding highlights have included multi-million-pound funding packages for social care, public health, and education. My team and I are pleased to have continued to assist residents with casework issues spanning health, local government including housing, crime and anti-social behaviour, immigration and much more.”
Stuart added: “I am delighted to continue to serve in the Government, as it delivers on the Prime Minister’s pledges and his ambitions to build a better future for Britain. In the last year, significant legislation has been passed. . It has included introducing the Lifelong Learning Guarantee; the Illegal Migration Act 2023 to put fairness at the heart of the immigration system; and the Energy (Oil and Gas) Profits Levy Act 2022, which has helped us to fund cost of living support for families and business. I have also continued to engage with Ministers on a range of matters to champion Wolverhampton’s priorities.”
