As a local MP, I want to do all that I can to ensure that Wolverhampton is a safer place to live in, work, and visit.
Since even before I was elected to Parliament, I have lobbied the Government for more funding for our police services.
I am encouraged by the Government's plan to invest £35 million in the West Midlands Police as part of the settlement for this coming year.
This will help us to deliver on our pledge to recruit an additional 20,000 police officers across our country.
We have already recruited more than 6,000 and our area has seen several hundred of these.
My 'Safer Neighbourhoods' survey seeks feedback from constituents on what more can be done when it comes to tackling crime and anti-social behaviour.
I want to learn more about the level and types of crimes committed, the impact that it has on our area, and what changes my constituents would like to see.
This survey will run between February and April, and I hope that as many constituents as possible will take part.
I have designed this survey so that it takes just a few minutes to complete and is easy to access.
Stuart is also asking constituents to make themselves aware of the following contact details:
- Crimestoppers: 0800 555 111
- Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline: 0808 223 1133
- Victim Support: 0808 1689 111
- For non-emergency contact with the Police: 101
